Two minutes of life
Hypoxia is a common cause of brain death, it can happen as a result of drowning, a heart attack, or a stroke. If doctors fail to restore blood circulation quickly enough, brain damage occurs.
Generally, irreversible damage occurs after 4 minutes. In such a short time, it is not always possible for emergency medical personnel to reach the victim. Hence, out of 10 people who are later admitted to the hospital, statistically, as many as 9 die. These statistics could be changed if, within 2 minutes after cardiac arrest, an attempt was made to restore circulation by performing chest compressions, commonly known as heart massage. Then the chances of saving the victim increase up to 60 percent. Our company conducts first aid training. Details can be found on our website in the "First Aid" tab.
